I attended my first ham jam last year at the WT ditch downtown. KC Badger was there and let me ride his bike. I didn't do much on it, but it was still pretty cool to flow around on it. Thanks for that.
Albert came-up from Rio Rico and threw-down the biggest move of the day with a double-peg on the rail next to the bridge.
Mostly it was hot and uneventful, then everyone went to some guys house in Tucson (Bean?) with a back yard setup.
I tried to water and shovel a little bit because it was so dry and dusty, but somebody seriously vibed me and kinked the hose before I had a chance so I gave-up.
When everyone went into the house to watch a video premier, I stayed outside and tried riding the thing, but failed miserably. Mad respect for everyone who made it through that setup. Also, thanks to the dude who stayed outside and gave me a few pointers.
Will gave me the nickname 30 year old grom. Happy to wear it proudly.
This year's ham jam will be in November. It'd be good to have everyone within 100 miles show-up to support Tucson BMX. We get beat up a lot down here by the skateboard community, the city, the county, the police, the university, etc., so having some BMX-friendly faces around would be really cool!
The jam will be at the Will Tubbs ditch again on November 5th.
